Na hát ez aztán kemény dió volt. Mongolia teljesen rejtély volt (és maradt :() számomra. Olvastam egy csomó mindent, persze a szokásos módon hamar kikötöttem magánblogoknál és útleírásoknál a "hivatalos" oldalak helyett... Szóval megtudtam rengeteg dolgot, de mégsem állt össze egy kerek képpé a fejemben. Hát ezért lett puzzle az alap. Azért nem akartam teljesen hektikus módon mindenféléket rávarrni, így a számomra egyik nagyon megdöbbentő és ugyanakkor nagyon izgalmas információnál maradtam.
Eszerint a mongolok mind az öt általuk tenyésztett állat (ló, tehén, teve, bárány és kecske) tejét felhasználják és fogyasztják. Rögtön megjelent a fejemben egy tejjel teli vödör, amit korábban valamelyik fotón láttam. Ezt jelenítettem meg 3d formában a kép közepén, bele a tejet vliesből csináltam. A vödör pedig egy fél napocska formájú anyag körbehímezve, kivágva és összefűzve.
Az állatokat eredetileg méretarányosan akartam rétegezni, de csekély és megbízhatatlan állattani ismereteim miatt koncepciót váltottam, maradt az " ovis stílus".
So it was hard. Very hard for me. Mongolia was (and is:() absolutely miraculous for me. I read a lot. As usual I found blogs and articles instead the official information pages... So I had several pieces of information but they were like puzzle pieces, not a whole thing. That' s why I used puzzle as the background of my miniquilt. I did not want to sew everything I read ( that would be way too hectical) so I chose a piece of info which was very interesting and surprising for me.
According to this Mongolians use and drink the milk of five animals: horse, camel, cow, goat and sheep. I imagined a bucket full of milk at this point, so I put it in the middle of the quilt. It is a 3D bucket, a shape like half of a sun embroidered and sewed. Milk is made of vlies.
As a first plan I wanted to sew the shilouettes of the animas layered on each other but my biology skills did not seem enough for that so I changed the plan and stayed with " kindergarten style".
